My research interest focuses on our understanding and management of chronic pain and his research activities include both primary research and conducting systematic reviews with the Cochrane Collaboration.

I lecture on undergraduate and post graduate courses within the Physiotherapy division, delivering teaching related to research methods, principles of evidence based practice and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. I am an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist, with a special interest in pain generally and chronic back pain specifically.

I am also a section editor (systematic reviews and clinical trials) for the international pain blog Body in Mind (www.bodyinmind.org), and regularly contribute blogs on contemporary pain research.

I am currently the research lead for the Physiotherapy Division at Brunel.
