- Professor of Sociology, McMaster University
I teach sociological theory at McMaster University, and write about the sociology of ideas/knowledge and Erich Fromm's social psychology. I have written about Noam Chomsky, David Riesman, Edward Said, George Orwell as well as Canadian sociology, the sociology of public sociology and the public intellectual in Canada. I am presently studying the spread of conspiracy theories against George Soros and the political consequences of private higher education in the United States along with a number of collaborative projects in the sociology of knowledge.
