- Associate Professor in Earth and Planetary Sciences, McGill University
I work at the intersection between geophysics and climate science. My research focuses on understanding how the polar ice sheets and global sea levels respond to climate change, and the impacts on coastal environments and populations. My group and I conduct our research with computational models, geological records such as ancient shoreline markers, and geophysical observations such as satellite measurements. We investigate how ice, oceans and climate have changed throughout Earth's history as well as how these systems will respond in our future warming world in order to inform climate adaptation and mitigation efforts.
I am also passionate about education and outreach to communicate about climate change in hopeful and actionable ways. I organize international, interdisciplinary summer schools on climate change for graduate students and am on the development and teaching team for McGill’s campus-wide course FSCI198 Climate Crisis and Climate Action.
