Najmeh Hassanli is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney Business School.
Her research explores the intersection of social inclusion and community development, with particular focus on how leisure activities and events can foster integration and empowerment. Through an investigation of the transformative role of leisure, tourism, and events, she examines their potential as catalysts for social change while critically addressing how they might inadvertently perpetuate marginalisation and social injustice.
Najmeh collaborates closely with community groups and settlement organisations supporting migrants and refugees in Australia, aiming to generate insights that inform both policy and practice.
