I am a researcher, lecturer and novelist whose work brings together postcolonial, feminist, queer and ecocritical methodologies to examine cultural hybridity, narrative resistance and transnational storytelling. My PhD in English Literature from the University of Brighton explores the “third space and beyond” in British Asian writing, building on an MA in the Teaching and Practice of Creative Writing from Cardiff University that focused on oral storytelling traditions of women in Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province. Her fiction includes The Begums of Peshawar (Hachette, 2018), Three Times Married (Asian Writer, 2007), and the Bengali-translated story The Radcliffe Line, alongside a journal article on migration, belonging and organic hybridity in post‑Brexit Britain currently under review.
