Mustafa Menshawy

Dr Mustafa Menshawy is a lecturer in politics at Lancaster University. His first book is State, Memory and the 1973 War: Ruling by Discourse (Palgrave 2017) and the second one is Leaving the Muslim Brotherhood: Self, Society and the State (Palgrave, 2020). His most recent article is 'Constructing state, territory, and sovereignty in the Syrian conflict', published by the esteemed journal of Politics in 2018.
