Dr Muhammad Usman is Professor of Quantum Computing at Monash University Australia. From 2022-2026, he was the Head of Quantum Systems at CSIRO and a Senior Principal Scientist. He has spent over 15 years in industry and academia in a range of research and leadership roles and is presently leading quantum software and quantum algorithms research programs at Monash University. Dr Usman is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics UK and the Australian Institute of Physics, and a Member of the National Committee for Physics with the Australian Academy of Science.
