Morganne Wilbourne

(she/her)

I am a current MB-DPhil student in the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health at the University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Manu Vatish. My thesis looks at the contribution of cell fragments called extracellular vesicles to the pathogenesis (cause) of pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure in pregnancy).

I also look at the ethics of consent and information provision for intrapartum medical interventions (such as ventouse or forceps delivery) with my colleague Frances Hand. In this we are supervised by Dr Meena Bhatia (consultant obstetrician) and Ms Sophie McAllister (consultant midwife) at Oxford University Hospitals
