Mohammad is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Population Medicine at the University of Guelph. His research focuses on assessing the impact of state legislation, socioeconomic characteristics (income disparity, drug prescription rates, urbanicity, etc.), and dog characteristics (weight, age, reproductive status, etc.) on the odds of an accidental opioid or cannabinoid poisoning event in companion dogs. He is also studying when and where there is the greatest risk of opioid and cannabinoid poisoning events.
