Mohamed Okash

(He/Him)

With a strong passion for co-creating a fairer, inclusive, & sustainable future for #PeopleAndPlanet, I formed the base of my profession for research, advocacy, and policy engagement at the intersection of local and global communities, social innovation, impact, and cross-sector partnerships.

I am a researcher, consultant, and ecosystem builder. I am the founding director of ICE Institute - Institute of Climate and Environment to tackle the climate and ecological crisis in Somalia and beyond. I have a strong passion for systems change, social justice and sustainable development. I love to learn, adapt and develop continuously in business, public, and communities.

As a member of the Global Future Council on Climate and Nature Governance at the World Economic Forum, I contribute to global policy dialogues on environmental sustainability and systemic resilience. With a passion for foresight, governance, and inclusive development, my work lies at the intersection of sustainability, research, and socioeconomic transformation.

Additionally, I am a Valedictorian and fellow of the Young and Emerging Leaders Project (YELP) from the LéO Africa Institute, Class of 2019, and now serve as a faculty member, contributing to the development of future leaders.

Drop me a note if you’re passionate about any of these fascinating topics!
