Moenieba Isaacs

I was a NUFU scholar for my Masters and PhD where I was generously funded by the Norwegian Government to study at the Norwegian Fisheries College at the University of Tromsø and at the University of the Western Cape between 1998-2003. I am now a full professor at the Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) at the University of the Western Cape. My research is on the social, spatial and blue injustices of small-scale fisheries and local communities living in biodiverse hotspots in Africa.
