I am an evolutionary biologist interested in understanding sex - particularly, how organisms attract mates, compete for access to mates, and choose among their suitors. My research focuses understanding animal coloration, and kin recognition, shape mate choice and mating strategies. I am currently using the Trinidadian guppy, a colorful freshwater fish, as a model for investigating these questions.
I graduated from Queen's University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. I completed my PhD at the University of Toronto in 2018. I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Ecology and Evolution working group at Florida State University.
