- PhD student in Palaeontology and Evolution, University of Edinburgh
I'm a first year PhD student, who uses a variety of statistical techniques to investigate how fossil vertebrates evolve through time. My current project focuses on the evolution of the brain and metabolism in tetrapods. I'm especially interested in how endothermy could be linked to huge increases in neuron numbers and cognitive abilities in birds and mammals. Previously, I've worked on oviraptorosaurian theropod dinosaurs, using 3D imaging and phylogenetic comparative methods to understand how their forelimbs evolved through time. I graduated with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh (MScR) and won the Palaeontological Association's Undergraduate Prize in 2022.
