Millicent Kennelly

I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management at Griffith University. My research focuses on sport event management and on identifying, understanding and managing sport event stakeholders. Over the past decade I have completed projects focused on understanding sport events for amateur through to elite athletes. My research has considered the experiences of amateur athletes, the motivations and event design decisions of participatory sport event organisers, and more recently the legacies of major sport events, with a particular focus on the outcomes and potential social benefits of the Olympic Games.
