Milan Sojitra

(He/Him)

Milan Sojitra is a marine ecologist and PhD candidate based at the University of Tasmania's Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies (IMAS). His research focuses on understanding how climate change and extreme weather events affect seabirds and marine mammals. He has worked extensively across Tasmania, the Southern Ocean, and Antarctica, studying species including albatrosses, penguins, seals, and whales. Combining field-based research with ecological modelling, he aims to improve our understanding of wildlife responses to environmental change and provide evidence to support conservation and management of marine ecosystems.
