Mike Groves

I have over 20 years' experience in English language teaching in places as diverse as Taipei, Sarajevo and Kuala Lumpur. I have been the Head of the Centre for English Language Education at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus, and I am currently employed by the university of Bath, offering support for English for Academic Purposes.
My research interests are two fold. I am interested in how Foundation and Pre-University programmes prepare students for undergraduate degrees in an internationalized environment. I am also interested in the uses of Google translate, and have recently, with a colleague, published in the journal of English for Specific Purposes on this topic.
