PhD The Politics of Work-Based Learning - A study of the application of work-based learning practices as facilitators of access to higher education for non-traditional students, especially from the human service and community sectors. The study also explores the marketisation, massification and vocationalisation of higher education.

Mick's recent work has been in the area of compassionate pedagogy.
