- PhD Candidate / Research Assistant, Monash University
My bachelor's was in psychology with a specialty in research. While with the University of Connecticut I worked in a laboratory doing Alzheimer's research. I would later enter the University of Victoria in Vancouver, Canada to pursue a master's in Neuroscience. However, I decided to switch to computer science as there were no openings in neuroscience at the time. There was an opportunity to pursue a Computer Science Masters into a PhD program through New Mexico State University so I took it. I left NMSU with Phoebe to join Monash University and have since authored and co-authored several papers on Queer Human Computer Interaction. My first author papers, This Game SUX, Why and How to Design Shitty User Experiences and True Sight: How Transgender Perspectives Can Shape Values for Designing Embodied Interactions are my favourites.
