I am an Associate Professor at the University of Turin, Department of Economics and Statistics. I am a senior research fellow of the Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement (NETSPAR, Tilburg University) and the Center for Research on Pension and Welfare Policies (CeRP) at Collegio Carlo Alberto. I am part of the Faculty of the Vilfredo Pareto Doctoral Program in Economics. My research interests include Ageing, Health economics, Labor economics and Demography.
I received my PhD in Economics from the University of Turin with a dissertation entitled "Retirement Incentives in Pension Systems: Theoretical Models with Applications to the Italian Transition", supervised by Prof. E. Fornero. I received a Master's degree in Economics from CORIPE Piemonte Turin.
Previously, I have been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Ca' Foscari University of Venice, under the supervision of Prof. A. Brugiavini. I was a member of the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE) working group. Before Venice, I worked for several years as a post-doc at the University of Turin and CeRP.
I was visiting scholar at the University of California at Berkeley, Dept. of Economics; Tinbergen Institute Amsterdam, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam; Tjalling Koopmans Research Institute, University of Utrecht. I received various grants and awards such as the VisitINPS senior type A program, Collegio Carlo Alberto Research Incentive Program, Integrating Expertise in Inclusive Growth transnational visiting grant, RAND Corporation Labor and Population Summer Institute scholarship.
I was a consultant for the International Labor Organization and the Joint Research Center of the EU Commission in Seville. I participated in various research projects financed by the European Commission, NETSPAR, and the Italian Ministry of Labor.
