I am a researcher, analyst and project manager with over 12 years' experience on conflict and security, in particular in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since 2024, I work as Senior Program Officer with swisspeace, a Basel University affiliated research and practice institute dedicated to peacebuilding. Sitting at the intersection of policy and everyday practice, my research is interested in security sector reform, governance of urban security and land, and the interplay between global policy and local realities. My forthcoming book, The Police, the State and the Congo Cop, is the first comprehensive, fieldwork-based account of the Congolese police. It queries how their everyday work and reform process shapes state-society relations and the state itself.
