Michael Tadrous

Michael Tadrous is a researcher at McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business and Juris Doctor candidate at Columbia Law School. His work focuses on energy policy and the economics of the energy transition, examining the constraints and trade-offs involved in deploying firm, reliable energy infrastructure at scale. Much of this research draws on nuclear energy as a case study, from the workforce required for large national buildouts to the heavy-forging and manufacturing capacity needed to supply new reactors and the resilience of generation under a warming, water-constrained climate. He also studies the use of artificial intelligence in regulated settings, including the reliability of embedding-based retrieval systems for nuclear regulatory compliance. His peer-reviewed research has appeared in leading academic journals, including Energy Policy and Progress in Nuclear Energy.
