I am an education policy sociologist, with qualifications from the Universities of London, Oxford, Strathclyde, Western Australia, Edith Cowan University and Queensland (Cert Ed, Dip Soc Stds, BA Hons, MA (Politics), Grad Dip RE, and PhD, respectively). I have taught in all three school systems in the UK and Australia.
I was Education Officer (Social Justice), Brisbane Catholic Education and have held education lectureships at the Universities of Newcastle (NSW) and Southern Queensland. I currently work in social inclusion research to support a professional development project across Queensland called Discovering Disability & Diversity.
I am an Honorary Research Advisor in the School of Education at the University of Queensland. My main research contributions relate to diverse global denominational public school systems and their comparative educational outcomes.
