Mhairi Bowe

Dr Mhairi Bowe is an Associate Professor in Social Psychology and Mental Health in the Department of Psychology at Heriot-Watt University. Mhairi is a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a teacher of Psychology, and an active researcher. Mhairi is former Chair of the British Psychological Society's Social Psychology Section.

Mhairi's teaching is both traditional and community-led and her research focusses on exploring the relationships between social groups, identity, and health and well-being in communities and groups going through transition and challenge. Mhairi is Deputy Director of the Centre for Applied Behavioural Sciences at Heriot-Watt University.
