Melanie Prentice

I am a research scientist with the Hakai Institute.

My research background covers diverse topics and systems under the connecting theme of using genetic and genomic tools to answer ecological questions to meet applied conservation and wildlife management goals.

Currently, my research focuses on marine disease epidemics, specifically the sea star wasting disease epidemic occurring along the Pacific Coast of North America for more than a decade.
