Melanie Myers (PhD) is a writer, interdisciplinary researcher and educator. She is the author of the historical novel Meet Me at Lennon’s (2019), which won the 2018 Queensland Literary Awards Glendower Award for an unpublished manuscript and was shortlisted for the Queensland Premier’s Award for a Work of State Significance in 2020. She was one of five winners of the 2022 Griffith Review Emerging Voices competition for her personal essay ‘Fallen Apples’. Her creative nonfiction, fiction and reportage have been published in Kill Your Darlings, Griffith Review, Arena Magazine and Overland, while her academic work has been published in Hecate, TEXT and the Journal of Education Administration and History. Melanie teaches into undergraduate and postgraduate writing courses at the University of Queensland.
