Dr Melanie Jean Murcott is an adjunct associate professor of law at the University of Cape Town with a dual position as Head of Public Interest at Lawtons Africa. She is also the Executive Director of the Socio-Ecological Justice Lab NPC and non-Executive Director at Animal Law Reform South Africa and the Centre for Environmental Rights. Her research advances Earth’s healing with reference to intersectional climate justice and human rights law.
