- Senior Lecturer in Financial Economics, Loughborough University
I’m an Associate Professor in Financial Economics at Loughborough University, specialising in risk and regulation. My work focuses on how financial systems respond to stress—ranging from banking crises and Basel regualtion to the evolving risks posed by climate change.
In recent years, my research has expanded to explore the intersection of environmental economics, sustainable finance, and regulatory policy. I aim to bridge climate science and financial regulation by developing tools and frameworks that help banks, insurers, and policymakers better understand and manage climate-related financial risks.
I collaborate with engineers, computer scientists, and climate experts to model the economic impact of extreme weather events and design resilient financial systems that can withstand future shocks. I’ve contributed to policy engagement with the Bank of England, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the FCA, and regularly speak at international academic and industry conferences.
In addition to my academic work, I’m deeply committed to financial inclusion and public engagement—particularly in promoting youth engagement with finance, raising climate awareness, and helping to close the financial literacy gap.
