I have a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Vermont where I researched the neurological basis of learning and memory. I then did a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto, also researching the neurological basis of learning, and specifically habit formation. I now work at Cascade Institute at Royal Roads on the polycrisis team where I investigate complex global systems and their interactions, and how the polycrisis is worsening and being worsened by our psychology and neurobiology.
