Dr Md Jaynul Abden is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Engineering, Design and Built Environment, Western Sydney University. He earned his PhD from the same institution, specialising in sustainable materials for building energy efficiency.
His research focuses on multifunctional materials, advanced composites, and climate-resilient construction systems, with an emphasis on reducing carbon emissions and improving energy performance. Dr Abden has contributed to the development of smart, sustainable building materials, including thermoresponsive systems and phase change technologies.
He also works on 3D graphene aerogels for energy applications, such as structural supercapacitors and integrated strain sensors. His current research interests include multifunctional nanomaterials, energy-adaptive building technologies, smart sensing systems, and sustainable infrastructure for future cities.
