Dr Mayuri Wijayasundara is an expert in strategy and management, specializing in measurement of alternative products, practices and business models aligned with circular economy and strategising to increase their competitiveness in markets.
She obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne, and is a chartered management accountant of CIMA, UK and a full member of CPA Australia.
Mayuri entered academia in 2012, following a successful career in business for nearly a decade in Australia and internationally.
She was leading a research group on enablers of a circular economy as a tenured academic till end of 2021.
She was the Deakin lead investigator and a chief investigator of the ARC funded Industrial Transformation Research Hub (ITRH) for Transformation of Waste Resources in to Engineered Materials and Solutions for a Circular Economy (TREMS).
Mayuri is currently research-active with hands on supervision of PhDs and investigation in funded projects.
