- Lecturer in French Studies, University of Sheffield
My interest lies primarily in 19th-century French literature and ideology, with emphasis on the works of Balzac, Zola, Hugo, and French socialist utopians. Current research also focuses on the intellectual history of modern France, with a particular interest for the late 20th-century and the situation of the left.
