- PhD Candidate, Associate Lecturer, Lancaster University
I have studied inter-war politics since my undergraduate degree when I wrote my dissertation on "The Politics of Personality in Conservative Inter-war Propaganda" at Lancaster University. After graduating I began my MA and continued my research on inter-war politics but shifted my focus to partisan youth movements, investigating the Conservative Party's Junior Imperial League. Since starting my PhD in 2016 I have broadened my focus to look at inter-war British political youth movements as a whole: investigating the movements of the Conservative, Labour, Liberal, and Communist Parties and what they can tell us about the changing nature of British political culture brought about by mass democracy.
Alongside this I have taken on a role as an Associate Lecturer at the university and have taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
