I am a palynologist who uses pollen and spores to answer questions relating to modern and ancient environmental change. I'm primarily interested in how what the climate of the past was, how it changed and what this can tell us about the coming century. I am currently the President of AASP - The Palynological Society. I obtained my PhD in 2013 from the University of Leeds on the topic of middle to late Miocene biota and climate.
