- Elbert L. Fausett Distinguished Professor of Biology, Hendrix College
My training is in field ecology. For my basic research, I have published work on grassland ecology, predator-prey interactions, plant-animal interactions, and insect ecology. My applied research focuses on land-use, in particular how the energy industry is developing and fragmenting landscapes. I have been a professor at Hendrix College, a small liberal arts institution, since 1996 where I have primarily taught Ecology and Evolution, Zoology, Field Ecology, and Natural History. I have also taught interdisciplinary courses for first-year students that focus on human philosophy and history.
