Matthew Atkinson

Matthew Atkinson holds a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Charles Darwin University (1999) and a Bachelor of Law and Legal Practice (Hons) from Flinders University (2004). His professional experience includes banking and seven years in community legal services, where he served as principal solicitor at Northern Community Legal Service Inc. Since 2011, he has managed the Legal Advice Clinic and teaches clinical legal education. His recent publications include a co-authored book on clinical legal education (2023) and multiple journal articles focusing on legal education and practice. He has contributed several book chapters on reflective practice and clinical legal education pedagogy, with his research appearing in journals such as the International Journal of Clinical Legal Education and Alternative Law Journal.
