Matt Fisher

(he him)

I work with the Stretton Health Equity team at the University of Adelaide. I conduct research on various issues related to public health and public policy in Australia including recent work on Indigenous health and wellbeing policy, primary healthcare policy, and mental health policy. I am strongly interested in the intersections between psychosocial stress, mental health and psychological wellbeing, and what these mean for public policy and social change. My new book on 'How to Create Societies for Human Wellbeing' published with Policy Press draws together my work on these issues. The book build on previous academic articles on 'A theory of public wellbeing' and 'Moving social policy from mental illness to public wellbeing'.
