Maryam Ashraf

I am a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Calgary and completed my Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in International Business. My academic and professional experience bridges commerce and law, with a focus on how organizations navigate conflict and change in complex social, legal, and economic contexts. I am particularly interested in evidence-based approaches that strengthen ethical leadership, dialogue, and psychological safety.

My industry experience in the oil and gas/energy sector, including work in Indigenous Relations and in-house counsel, has strengthened my ability to analyze how governance frameworks influence collaboration and decision-making.
