Marwa Wasfy

Marwa Wasfy is a Research Associate at the War Studies department, King's College London; where she is mainly involved in a professional military education program. She has also acted at a Mediterranean Dialogue Fellow at the NATO Defense college, where she worked on her project on urban warfare tactics after 7 October. Her PhD research project investigates the Transatlantic security community in relation to the threats of the so-called “The Arab Spring”. As part of her research, Ms. Wasfy examines how the American versus the European have strategically responded to the threats of terrorism, radicalisation and migration and how this will influence the dynamics of the Transatlantic security. Her research interest goes beyond the Atlantic security studies, to consider issues of political Islam, civil-military relations, warfare tactics and women in armed conflicts.
