I am presently Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Melbourne. Previously I was Associate Professor and Director of the Williams Centre for Learning Advancement in the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Melbourne and an Honorary Fellow in Economics. I edited the *Palgrave Handbook of Critical Thinking in Higher Education* (Palgrave, 2015), and the second edition of the popular *Study Skills for International Postgraduates* (Bloomsbury, 2022). My new book (with Ron Barnett) is forthcoming with Routledge in 2026 in their *World Issues in Theory and Philosophy of Higher Education* series titled: *From Critical Thinking to Criticality: a Higher Education for a Troubled World*. I was a keynote speaker at a colloquium at the University of Geneva in 2024.
