I am a Professor of English at Brock University. My most recent book was "War Without Bodies: Framing Death from the Crimean to the Iraq War" (Rutgers University Press, 2022) I have published books and articles on Victorian history and culture and contemporary versions of the Victorian like steampunk. I work in Victorian and neo-Victorian studies. In Victorian studies I have published articles on authors such as Robert Louis Stevenson and H. G. Wells and in neo-Victorian studies on steampunk. My most recent book "War Without Bodies" traced writing and images of war from the Crimean (1853-56) to the Iraq War (2003-11).
