Marlee Mercer is a PhD Candidate in Human Resources at York University in Toronto, Canada. Her research focuses on abusive supervision, leadership, identity work, workplace health, and strategic human resource management. Her work has been published in respected academic journals and practitioner outlets such as Psynopsis.

Marlee’s research has been recognized at academic conferences: she was awarded Best Doctoral Paper at the Western Academy of Management and was Runner-Up for Best Paper at the Midwest Academy of Management. She regularly presents her work at both academic and practitioner conferences.

She has taught HR and organizational behavior courses at York University, Brock University, George Brown College, and Centennial College, and has contributed to the crafting of several widely used Canadian HR textbooks.
