Mark Vrtiska is a Professor of Practice and Wildlife Management Specialist with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's School of Natural Resources. Primary duties include instructing undergraduate courses, coordinating for the Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership and conducting research in wildlife ecology and conservation biology of threatened and endangered species. Areas of interest include avian ecology, conservation biology, harvest management and waterfowl conservation and management. Previously, Vrtiska was the Waterfowl Program Manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and a Regional Biologist with Ducks Unlimited, Inc.
