Mark is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney. He has held appointments at several universities in Australia and the USA, including appointments at the California Institute of Technology, the University of California Irvine and the University of Pittsburgh. He is a past president of the Australasian Association of Philosophy and a past president of the Society for Risk Analysis (ANZ). He has published extensively on decision theory, philosophy of logic, philosophy of mathematics, and philosophy of ecology. His publications include over 80 refereed articles and several books.
