Marion McCutcheon is a communications economist. She has extensive experience as a government researcher and policy adviser and as an academic focussing on media business and creative industries. Her interests include the role of the creative industries in economic systems, and how society benefits from engagement with culture. Recent work includes a book co-authored with the University of Wollongong’s Sue Turnbull, Transnational TV Crime: From Scandinavia to the Outback.
