Marion Kim-Chi POLLAERT

(they)

Marion Pollaert is a postdoctoral researcher at NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), the team STL (Savoirs, Textes, Langage: UMR 8163) in Lille and the Centre Jean Pépin (UMR 8230) in Paris. They currently work as a scientific coordinator at the CNRS for the journal Hermès. Their research focuses on Plato and the contemporary reception of ancient political philosophies. A key focus of their research lies in exploring the meaning and value of knowledge, as well as the legacy and contemporary relevance of the opposition between competence and democratic egalitarianism.

They are in the process of turning their dissertation into a book in English. Their second book on Being and Value is expected to be published by Vrin in 2025.
