Marinus van IJzendoorn

I am currently a Honorary Professor in the Department of Clinical, Education and Health Psychology at UCL, London, UK, an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Monash University, Melbourne, Australia and Professor Titular in Psychology at the University of San Sebastian, Santiago/ Valdivia, Chile.
My research interests include: attachment and emotion regulation across the life span and in various cultural and clinical groups; the neurobiology of parenting; correlates and consequences of child abuse and neglect; family intervention; and children's development growing up in war-zones and in refugee families. Application of meta-analytic and IPD approach to a range of topics in developmental psychology and psychopathology is one of the foci, with some interest in the methodology and history of developmental science.
