Marina Segura is an associate professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, Financial & Actuarial Economics & Statistics Department, Faculty of Economics & Business. She holds a MA in Business Administration and Management and a Master's Degree in Data Analysis, Process Improvement and Decision Support Engineering. Currently, her research is focused on the integration of multi-criteria techniques and data mining applied to the analysis of dropout and performance in university education. For more than a decade her teaching activity has focused on statistics and operations research in business administration and management degrees. She has always been involved in educational innovation projects developing multimedia and gamification materials to improve students' motivation, learning and performance. She has also disseminated the results of these projects at national and international conferences, both in areas of statistics, operations research and management science, as well as at conferences focused on higher education.
