Dr Marie Hadley specialises in intellectual property law, with a focus on copyright law and IP norms. Her work aims to deepen the understanding of the relationship between law and society, especially in the context of disputes involving pop culture or visual imagery.

Marie uses innovative sociolegal methods and interdisciplinary approaches to explore the legal, ethical, and cultural dimensions of copyright law controversies. She enjoys collaborating with visual artists and humanities scholars, aiming to illustrate the connections between law and the norms, ethics, and business considerations that influence creativity and copying.
