I am passionate about snow and mountains since I am a kid. After a PhD in Grenoble at IGE, I spend some time at the Norwegian Polar Institute in Tromsoe, working on the colors of sea ice. I started working at the Centre d'Etudes de la Neige (CNRM/CEN, Météo-France - CNRS) in 2011. My work covers the optical properties of snow, aka snow colors, as well as snow physics and modelling. I am the head of the CEN since 2021. Currently, I am the principal investigator of the European Research Council Grant IVORI dedicated the observation and modelling of the different types of snow around the world.
