My research is focused on understanding chemotherapy resistance of a rare form of leukaemia characterised by translocations involving the MLL-gene. My teaching spans from undergraduate to postgraduate courses of biomedical science and entails supervision of research projects students.
I hold a five-year degree (BSc +MSc) in Medical Biotechnologies and a PhD in Molecular Medicine awarded by the University of Napoli Federico II in Italy.
Before joining UEL I completed a postdoc at the Institute of Cancer Research and at King’s College London.
I am a member of European and British Cancer Research Associations and Haematology societies and the co-founder of AIRIcerca, the association of Italian Researchers worldwide.
